NAPS CONGRATULATES GENERAL MUHAMMED BUHARI

The ultimate measure of a man is not his position in time of comfort and convenience but his stand in time of crisis and controversy.

The leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) congratulates the president elect of nigeria, General Muhammed Buhari on his victorious fight against the outgoing president and the peoples democratic party. We also commend the doggedness, consistency and courage of our new president that resulted in his well deserved victory, self believe, clean history and determination are catalyst of the success.

The historical and memorable just concluded election has reflected General Muhammed Buhari as a hero whose name should be registered in the historical book of record just like Abraham Lincoln of America, Nelson Mandela of South - Africa and the likes. A hero who never gave up to failure but rather believe that there is a seed of success in every failure, Nigerians I believe we will never forgets such a man.

We commensurate and rejoice with the All Progressive Congress on their set and beaten of record, they have successfully clinched an unprecedented victory that seems like living without breathing for sixteen years. A record indeed, the very first opposition that enjoyed the block votes of the masses to defeat a sitting president on their very first appearance for the presidential race.

Necessarily we say kudos to a living legend in the political circle, the chief master brain behind the huge success, permit me to call him the dictionary of nigerian politics, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Likewise Gov Rotinmi Amechi, Sen Bukola Saraki and all other icons of the party.

The leadership of the association also say a big thank you to our historical president Dr GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN for his unrelenting transformation agenda, tireless contribution to the growth of the nation and most especially his preservation of our democracy. We wish him the very best of life as he proceed to life after power, we regard him to be a good man with a good vision but associated with the wrong calibre of people, still we say good luck sir.

We as well draw the attention of our new president to all promises he made while vying for the post, security challenges, electricity problems, HND/BSC dichotomy, discrimination of graduates, extraction of Nigeria polytechnic commission, ASUU, ASUP and COEASU agreements and all other issues affecting the nation, as we wish you a successful tenure in office.

Comrade Olugbode H. Damola
